Lunts Heath pupils in Farnworth thrilled to see helicopter land at their school in Wedgewood Drive

AS a whirring helicopter took off, excited Widnes children flew into position.

Lunts Heath pupils formed themselves into their school emblem as a low altitude flying machine machine captured them on film.

Paul White, director of Heli-Wise Limited, said: “They were given a flight related outdoor assembly.

“Each class is photographed by our helicopter including shots of the school from all angles.

“This forms a souvenir book.”

Headteacher Dee Denton said: “We spotted the idea on the Internet and consulted the school council.

“Parents agreed and we arranged to have all the class photographs taken with the helicopter.

“The children were absolutely enthralled.”

Pupils at the school in Wedgewood Drive, Farnworth, are looking forward to seeing their class pictures.
