Widnes Beatles fan wins a ticket to ride

Rachel Workman and Laura Gallagher win a ticket to ride after posing as John Lennon and Yoko Ono
KEEN Beatle fans have won a magical mystery tour to Amsterdam after recreating John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s famous love-in.
Laura Gallagher, aged 26, of Widnes and her friend, Rachel Workman, aged 25, staged their stunt at Liverpool’s John Lennon Airport.
The easyJet competition marked the 40th anniversary of the couple’s honeymoon, when they posed in bed at the Amsterdam Hilton to promote world peace.
Bank worker Laura, of Upton Rocks Mews, said: “We are so surprised to win, it’s fantastic!
“We are huge Beatles fans and Amsterdam is our favourite place in the world.
“We had been saving up for a holiday there later in the year. I guess we don’t have to now.”
The pair won a week long holiday in the Dutch capital.
