THEY say blondes have more fun but this one could have perished had she not been rescued.
This cute baby hedgehog, nicknamed Blanche, weighed only 110g when she was found roaming the streets but has now settled into her new home in the walled garden at Norton Priory, after being nurtured back to health by the RSPCA. Ranger Alan Westron said: “If she was outside, she’d be vulnerable to predators such as foxes and badgers.
“Here she can roam safely as the garden is enclosed. We try to be as organic and green as we can. It’s a lovely place for her to grow old.”
Her unusual pale colouring is caused by a rare recessive gene.
