THREE lanes are closed on the M62 eastbound after a vehicle caught fire.
Traffic is queuing and drivers are warned of delays.
The fire happened between junction 11 for Birchwood and junction 12 at Eccles.
Traffic cameras show heavy congestion on the stretch of the motorway through Cheshire.
A spokesman for Highways England said: "Three lanes closed and queuing traffic due to vehicle fire on M62 eastbound from j11 A574 Birchwood Way (Birchwood) to j12 M60 (Eccles Interchange)."
All lanes have now reopened.
