A CREAMFIELDS security guard has died after an accident which took place at the festival.
The man, named Michael but known to friends as Bruno, was airlifted to hospital after being injured clearing up the site.
In a post on a Creamfields community group, Michael’s brother posted:
“As a family we regret to inform you that Michael AKA Bruno (Security Guard) passed away at 5am this morning (15/09/23) following a tragic set of unfortunate circumstances. We would like to thank everyone who has called, text, and supported us over the last 2 weeks, it is appreciated. As you can imagine, this is a really difficult time for us all, so we would appreciate some privacy at this time.”

“The casualty remains in a serious condition in hospital.”
A GoFundMe page was set up by his family following Michael’s initial accident, with £1,725 raised already.
In comments under the post by Michael’s brother, friends, family, and members of the Creamfields community group sent their well wishes in response to the news.
One commented: “So sorry for your loss, I had the pleasure of knowing your brother & doing his classes at JD Gyms - Newcastle under Lyme and previously at x4l….he was one of the best people, a good, kind person with a huge heart & personality, he will be missed by everyone. Thinking of you & your family”
Another commented on the GoFundMe page, prior to his death, stating the support Michael had given him through tough times.
They posted: “I can never thank Bruno enough for the help and support he has given me over the years.
“His belief in me when nobody else did, his encouragement, wisdom and mentorship helped to shape the person I am today.
“I will never forget his advice whenever I got myself into yet another stupid situation, even when I stupidly didn't listen and he was always right.
“He is a fighter, one of the strongest men I have ever met, if anybody will win this it is him.”
