HARD work has paid off for students at a high school in Runcorn.

Ormiston Bolingbroke Academy pupils collected their GCSE results this morning.

With a successful set of results, everyone has come together to mark the achievements of the cohort.

Some individual standout achievements include:

Harry Savage who achieved two grade 9s in biology and physics, three grade 8s in maths, chemistry and business, two grade 7s in English language and literature and a distinction* in engineering.

Aidan Dobson who achieved grade 9s in chemistry, physics and geography, grade 8s in biology, maths and English language, and two grade 7’s in English literature and Spanish.

Emily Stewart who achieved three grade 9s in biology, chemistry, and physics, three grade 8s in maths, English language and literature and distinction* grades in both business and engineering

Runcorn and Widnes World:

Bobby Cavanagh who successfully achieved a grade 9 in English, a grade 8 in maths, five grade 7s in Spanish, physics, English literature, biology and chemistry and a distinction* grade in sport.

Kathryn Evans, principal at Ormiston Bolingbroke Academy, said: “Myself, and everyone here at Ormiston Bolingbroke Academy are delighted for our year 11s today.

“I hope they recognise and celebrate their achievements and the incredibly hard work every single one of them has put in over the last five years.

“I would like to thank all our students, their families, our staff and the wider academy community for their ongoing support and we look forward to seeing our students progress on to the next stage of their education and fulfill their goals.”
