WANTED: loving homes.
That's the message taxis will be taking to the streets of Halton as a special recruitment campaign is mounted during fostering forgnight.
"There is no such thing as a typical foster carer," said Cllr Tom McInerney, board member for health and social care.
"You don't have to be married, have any children or own your own home.
"It doesn't matter what age you are or whether you have a job.
"But you do need to have time, patience and energy and a love of children."
There are more than150 children in care in Halton but only 85 foster carers.
Loving homes are desperately needed.
Information stands will be at Asda, Widnes today and in Widnes town centre tomorrow.
