A LARGE emergency services presence was called to the Boundary Road area yesterday after an incident involving a blown electricity fuse and gas leak.
A large emergency services presence attended with a police cordon in place around Boundary Road and Doulton Street.
Engineers from SP Networks were called to deal with a power cut caused by a “suspected blown fuse” and worked to return power.
The Gas Board were also called due to a “separate gas leak” related to the explosion.
The power cut affected the areas of Boundary Road, Cambridge Road and surrounding streets.
