THE community has once again rallied together to show support for Kirsty Mcdonald and her young family.

In a bid to make life easier for her two daughters, The Shannon Bradshaw Trust enlisted the help of volunteers to transform the Mcdonald garden.

Kirsty, from Orford, is facing her third cervical cancer diagnosis despite just being 26.

Over the past 18 months Kirsty has been juggling raising her two children, paying her bills and undergoing gruelling cancer treatment.

Kirsty's mum Janette contacted The Shannon Bradshaw Trust, based in Penketh, to see if they could help by donating a trampoline that would be suitable for six-year-old Eva who has a severe disability.

When Patti Bradshaw, from the charity, visited the garden, she thought it would be nice to go above and beyond and give the garden a complete makeover for the children.

Jeff Hartley, from Trinity Facilities, asked how he could help and extended the garden wall for the family for free.

After Jeff rendered the wall and Johnstones Decorating donated paint and brushes, Patti appealed on Facebook to find an artist.

This is when Jason Morley offered his skills and said he had been touched by Kirsty's story and would like to help the family.

The talented artist has transformed the outdoor space for Ava and Ella into a colourful oasis where the two can enjoy playing with their mum.

The gofundme appeal has raised more than £36,000 for Kirsty and her family, you can donate here www.gofundme.com/savekirstymac.
