FIREFIGHTERS had a busy day yesterday, Monday, as they were called out to several fires across the Runcorn and Widnes area.
At midday, a fire broke out in a conservatory on Allendale in Runcorn and two engines attended the scene.
The fire was well alight on arrival and crews, two wearing breathing apparatus, used a hose and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire.
One man was taken to hospital for a check up after suffering from slight smoke inhalation.
Crews were in attendance for two hours.
Shortly after 5.30pm. firefighters were called to reports of tyres well alight on Earle Road in Widnes.
The fire was close to a gym and crews used a hose to put out the fire.
At 7.45pm, firefighters attended a wheelie bin fire on Meadway in Runcorn.
A hose was used to make sure it was fully extinguished.
