FIREFIGHTERS have issued a warning after a cooker fire in Widnes.
Crews were called to Somerford Walk yesterday, Saturday at 6pm.
Two firefighters in breathing apparatus put out the flames and used a large fan to disperse the smoke.
A spokesman added: "The fire was caused by a build up of cooking fats.
"Please remember to clean your oven to prevent this happening to you."
