A LORRY crashed into a railway bridge in Widnes last night.
The HGV collided with the bridge on Victoria Road as it was driving under it shortly before 10.30pm yesterday, Sunday.
Police closed the road, while Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service sent one engine to the scene to clear debris – with crews in attendance for around 45 minutes.
Network Rail engineers also attended the incident.
