Four casualties taken to hospital following a two vehicle crash on South Lane in Widnes
TWO passengers were trapped in a car following a crash in Widnes.
Two vehicles were involved in a collision on South Lane shortly before 11pm last night.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “The collision involved two saloon cars and two passengers were medically trapped.
“Fire service personnel helped to free them from the vehicles and pass them to the care of paramedics at the scene.
“In all, four people were conveyed to hospital as part of the incident.”
Crews were at the scene for almost an hour.
