FIREFIGHTERS across Runcorn have had a busy weekend dealing with multiple fires in the area.
Late Friday night, crews were called to a stable barn fire on Sandymoor Lane.
The barn was well alight and crews used a hose to extinguish the fire before ensuring the barn was cooled down and made safe.
On Saturday evening, one fire engine attended a fire involving 10sqm of peat land on Heath Park in Runcorn.
On arrival crews detected several hot spot areas and used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire and cool the surrounding area.
At 7pm last night, Saturday, firefighters were called to a small amount of refuse on fire including a couch near to Astmoor Industrial Estate.
One hose reel jet and a stack drag were used by crews to put out the fire.
