Woodland fire in Runcorn
FIREFIGHTERS were called to a report of a woodland fire behind Halton Sports Playing Fields in Runcorn yesterday, Thursday.
One crew from Lymm attended at around 8.05pm where they found a small fire involving branches and a tree on Murdishaw Avenue.
The team used water extinguish the fire and were in attendance for around 20 minutes.
The fire is believed to have been started deliberately.
