Crews tackle small fires on Lakeside Close in Widnes and Ledston Close in Windmill Hill
CREWS tackled a small fire in Widnes.
Firefighters were called to Lakeside Close at around 6.30pm last night and used a beater to put out the flames.
A garden fire also broke out on Ledston Close in Windmill Hill, Runcorn shortly before 3pm yesterday.
On arrival the crew discovered that it was a case of controlled burning in a garden.
Firefighters extinguished the fire with a hose reel jet and were in attendance for around 10 minutes.
