A HOUSEBUILDER is celebrating after a Widnes site manager received a pride in the job quality award.

Bill Hughes, who works on the Miller Homes Fairfield Gardens development has won the award an incredible 24 times as well as 19 seal of excellence and six supreme winner awards!

On this occasion he was meticulously assessed across 44 areas of site management – including technical knowledge, consistency in the build process and quality controls.

Bill said: “To win this prestigious award is fantastic. I’m honoured to have been recognised once more - each and every award means so much to me, and to have been awarded this accolade for the 25th time is truly special.”

The National House Building Council backed awards recognise site managers across the homebuilding industry who have showcased the highest possible standard of quality in construction.

Fred Swinburne, regional production for Miller Homes in the north west, said: “We’re extremely proud of Bill for once more achieving a NHBC quality award.

"He is an incredibly diligent team member, and his dedication to high standards in safety and construction is truly admirable – well done Bill!”

Bill now has the opportunity to win a coveted seal of excellence as well as competing for the regional title.

The regional winners will then go on to compete for the national supreme winner title in their category at the Pride in the Job gala dinner in London on January 25, 2019.
