CREWS tackled a peat bog fire.
Firefighters were called to Warrington Road in Runcorn shortly after 8am this morning.
Crews dug out the peat and used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
Firefighters also dealt with a small fire in a wood on Main Street in Halton village at around 9pm last night.
Crews used a fire extinguisher and beaters to extinguish the fire.
Firefighters were called to a disused jetty on Runcorn Road in Runcorn at 5.30pm and had to use water safety equpment to deal with the incident.
Crews used a hose reel jet to put out the fire which had also spread to a bank behind the jetty.
