Crews continue to tackle grass fires on Nortonwood Lane
CREWS have tackled the latest in a spate of grass fires.
Firefighters were called to a small grass fire on Nortonwood Lane in Runcorn shortly after midnight.
Crews used beaters to put out the fire.
Firefighters also dealt with a grass fire on Cotton Lane in Halton Lodge at 3pm yesterday.
Approximately 10 square metres was well alight when crews arrived and they used a hose reel jet and a stack drag to put out the fire.
