A CONSULTANT gynaecologist has been hailed a 'miracle man' after making baby dreams come true.

Professor Luciano Nardo and his team of embryologists, nurses and support staff have celebrated their fourth birthday of their successful IVF fertility clinic.

Families joined medics at Reproductive Health Group on Daresbury Park for a party to mark the milestone.

Alex Bradshaw, 35, from Preston Brook, gave birth to her daughter Halliee following a single cycle of treatment; she is now excitedly planning her second child with her wife Lauren, 32.

Professor Nardo is the miracle man," said Alex, who fheard about the clinic through friends who had also successfully conceived.

“We got married in June 2016 and had been planning to go to a clinic in Birmingham until we heard about this one, which is right on our doorstep.

" Every option was made crystal clear and we already have a pregnancy plan in place for our next child in around three years’ time.”

Attending the party with his own children, Professor Nardo spent time with every parent and child in his capacity as board and clinical director.

Professor Nardo said: “Family is a big thing for me and I want to see other people have the same.

“For fertility patients, it is not just about one appointment. Sometimes, we are on the journey long enough to establish a friendship.

"It is very exciting to see all the babies today, I feel very proud. We want to maintain positivity for those in treatment and to inspire trust and belief.”

Daresbury Dairy Ice Cream, hotdogs and wood-fired pizzas were served to guests who were also treated to a show by children’s entertainer Magic Philip.

The clinics operations director Jane Taylor said: “It’s fantastic to see such a great turnout.

“Many people need their fertility, maternity and gynaecological treatment to fit around their work lives so having a clinic so close to the motorway definitely cuts down travel times.

"It also opens up our services to patients in Cheshire, Merseyside, Greater Manchester and Lancashire.”

Professor Nardo trained in Italy, London and Manchester before being appointed as consultant in gynaecology and reproductive medicine at St Mary’s Hospital, Manchester, where he worked full-time until 2011.
