THE Queen and the Duchess of Sussex will arrive by train for their visit to Halton next week.
A royal communications letter has confirmed details of the royal itinerary.
The royal party will arrive at Runcorn railway station on Thursday, June 14, and travel by car to the Mersey Gateway bridge.
The Queen and the Duchess will be introduced to architects, planners and community representatives and view the bridge from the Catalyst Museum on Mersey Road in West Bank.
They will then watch a performance by schoolchildren called Bringing Communities Together: Halton's River Crossings Over The Ages.
Her majesty will unveil a plaque to mark the opening of the bridge.
The royal visitors will leave for Chester to visit Storyhouse, a library, theatre and cinema before having lunch at Chester Town Hall.
