I AM upset and annoyed about the removal of the ancient sandstone wall surrounding the entrance to the car park of the catalyst museum.
I do not know why this has been done?
I can only assume that repair was needed but Halton Council would not pay for specialist builders to deal with this type of stone.
It is sad that these skills are lacking in modern builders.
The wall was a lovely feature of the area and had been in place for a long time I suspect.
The sandstones have been piled in a heap on the car park ready for removal. The area has now been turfed over and is lost forever.
