A POWER cut is affecting Widnes town centre.
Drivers are warned to take extra care as traffic lights around Albert Road and Watkinson Way are not working.
Morrisons petrol station is closed.
Widnes Market has also been affected.
Shops, offices and homes have been left without electricity.
Cash machines are not working.
A spokesman for Scottish Power said the power cut only lasted for three minutes and was caused by an overhead network fault.
The spokesman said: "The power went off at 8.02am and was back on again at 8.05pm. Some customers may have experienced a dip."
