A TABLE tennis team from Guernsey were declared the victors after a series of knock out games at Halton Table Tennis Centre.

Ravenscroft 1 came first and Cardiff were runners up in the Division 1A.

With one round to go Swerve and Halton 2 had a chance of second place but ended up fourth.

Zak Cantor, Kin Fung Chan, Olly Tyndall and Michael Fraser played in the Halton 1 team.

Reserves during the season were Ryan lunn, Kristof Pinter and Aaron Beech.

Division 1B was won by Wood Green 1 and Beaumont Accountancy Nomads from the north east.

Halton 3 team finished seventh.

The trophy awarded to the player with the most wins in each division in A1 was shared between Zac Cantor from Halton 2 and Gary Dodd from Ravenscroft.

Halton mayor and mayoress Cllrs Alan and Joan Lowe watched the finals and spoke to teams before presenting trophies for the season.

Karen Tonge MBE was the referee and Ken Tonge organised the event.
