Police are investigating an arson attack at a terraced house on Canon Street in Runcorn
POLICE are investigating an arson attack at a Runcorn house.
Firefighters were called to an end terrace property on Canon Street at around 9.45pm last night.
On arrival crews found that all the occupants were accounted for.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
A large high pressure fan was then used to clear the smoke from the property.
The fire is believed to have been started deliberately.
Firefighters from Runcorn and Widnes were at the scene for nearly two hours.
Police were also in attendance.
Anyone with information about the fire should call police on 101, quoting incident number 58775.
