A BRICKWORK student is celebrating after winning the best apprentice category at The High Sheriff’s Awards for Enterprise 2017/18, Cheshire's most prestigious wards for business performance.
It marks a hat trick of accolades for Riverside construction trainee Jordan Ireland who received a gold medal at both the SkillBuild North West Bricklaying competition and the Guild of Bricklayers North West competition.
Jordan has also represented Riverside College on a national scale.
He entered the Guild of Bricklayers Competition final and was awarded a bronze medal.
The Harry Fairclough Construction Ltd apprentice also represented the college at the SkillBuild UK national finals which at the NEC Arena in Birmingham, competing against tough competition from some of the best bricklayers across the country.
Darren Moore, head of construction at Riverside College, said “We are extremely proud of what Jordan has achieved during his time with us.
"He has represented the college on a national level and performed exceptionally well throughout his studies.
"To win another major award is outstanding and we predict a very bright future for Jordan.”
