A TRAMPOLINE park in Widnes has re-opened after a £500,000 transformation.

Velocity Leisure has installed the UK's biggest indoor inflatables into a 15,000 sq ft warehouse on Bennetts Lane.

Husband and wife Steve and Cheryl Cosgrove launched their £1m business in 2015.

Dad-of-three Steve, who grew up in Halton View, said: “We’re excited to be bringing the UK’s biggest inflatables to Widnes.

"We opened our first trampoline park in Liverpool in 2015 and as more and more venues have opened across the UK, we believe it is important to continue to offer our customers new and exciting experiences.”

Two extreme drop slides, a giant slide into the country's largest ball pool, a gladiator arena with podiums to battle from, high climbing wall, Total Wipeout style giant bouncing balls are among the new attractions.

An incredible 300,000 plastic balls will fill various ball pools and despite its mammoth size, the entire inflatable takes just 20 minutes to take shape.

Steve added: “Velocity continues to evolve and update all of our activity venues to offer families the biggest and best leisure facilities and attractions.

"We want to offer a full range of family fun activities so our loyal customers keep returning to us and we also attract brand new families to experience all that we have on offer”

All staff have kept their jobs and been retrained to supervise on the new equipment.

Birthday Parties, toddler sessions for younger children, fitness classes, disability friendly sessions will continue to be offered and tailored packages to any specific customer requests can also be provided.
