WOMENS' organisation Soroptimist International will be giving away 100 cup cakes at Widnes Market to celebrate 100 years since women were given the vote.

Widnes campaigners will be distributing information on trafficking, toilet twinning modern day slavery and other Soroptimist issues concerning women of today locally and internationally.

Women are also being invited to donate unwanted bras for a charity collection.

Ladies will be in the market on Wednesday, February 28, from 10am to 12 noon and will be giving away cakes made by Waterfields.
