TWO wheelchairs belonging to a Widnes paralympian GB table tennis star have been stolen.

The wheelchairs, worth between £3,000 and £5,000 each, were taken from the garden shed of Jack Hunter-Spivey’s family home on Stewards Avenue.

Police say the wheelchairs, stolen some time in November 2017, would be of little use or value to anyone other than Jack.

PC Jamie Simmons from Cheshire Police said: “The investigation in relation to this incident is ongoing and we have been following a number of lines of enquiry.

“As part of this I’m keen to appeal to the public to ask if anyone has the wheelchairs since they disappeared.

“Both of the wheelchairs are distinctive and were tailor made for Jack.

"I’d ask anyone who believes that they may have seen the wheelchairs, or has any information in relation to their disappearance to contact the team here at Widnes.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting reference CC17368021. Information can also be passed anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
