A BEST-SELLING writer is coming to Widnes Library to talk about her books.
Sarah Ward has written three crime novels.
Talking about her debut novel In Bitter Chill, Sarah said: “I live in the Peak District and the landscape is absolutely stunning.
“I wanted to set the book in an area I know well but use a fictional setting.”
Agatha Christie, PD James and Ruth Rendell, she says, are major influences.
Sarah will talk about the popularity of crime novels and what attracts people to the darkest deeds.
The talk is being held on Thursday, January 25 at 7pm.
Tickets priced £3, including refreshments, are available online from eventbrite.co.uk/e/author-talk-sarah-ward-tickets-41307787705.
