THREE men charged in connection with the shooting of a 16-year-old Runcorn boy appeared at Chester Crown Court today.

Philip Horan, 27, of Greenbridge Close, Castlefields, Wayne Griffiths, 28, of Gaunts Way, Hallwood Park and Sean Davies, 30, of Greenbridge Close, Castlefields, pleaded not guilty to section 18 wounding with intent and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

Davies has also denied being in possession with intent to supply a class B drug.

A 16-year-old boy was sitting in the passenger seat of a silver Ford Mondeo on the Croft housing estate when he was shot in the leg on November 30.

All three defendants were remanded in custody pending a trial at Chester Crown Court set to start on May 29.

The trial is expected to last for 10 days.
