CHILDREN at Ditton Nursery have been getting into the Christmas spirit.

Tots performed a festive singalong for the mayor and mayoress of Halton Cllrs Alan and Joan Lowe.

Youngsters dressed up in Santa hats and Christmas jumpers for their special concert.

The little girls and boys sang their Christmas favourites including When Santa got Stuck up the Chimney, Rudoph The Red Nose Reindeer and Jingle Bells.

The mayor and mayoress presented four-year-old pupil George Hunt with a voucher for good attendance.

Delighted George said he would be buying ‘lots of diggers’ with his surprise award.

The mayor and mayoress chatted to parents and thanked the children for their entertainment.

Acting executive headteacher Amanda Brown said: “Christmas is a magical time of the year and we were delighted that the mayor and mayoress were able to come and join in our celebrations.”

The children would like to wish everyone a very happy Christmas.
