HUNDREDS of twinkling lights will illuminate a special giant Christmas tree.
A Light up a Life service is being held at Halton Haven Hospice on Barnfield Avenue in Runcorn at 7pm on Friday to give people a chance to remember their loved ones.
Residents are invited to sponsor a light and the names of relatives and friends they are remembering will be printed in a Book of Remembrance which will be placed in the hospice reception in the new year.
Those who donate will also receive a Light Up A Life badge and a card.
The service includes readings, prayers, Christmas carols and performances from musicians and choirs.
The tree will shine until the 12th night in memory of lost loved ones.
