Firefighters tackle sofa fire on playing fields near Arley Drive in Widnes
VANDALS torched sofas on playing fields in Widnes.
Firefighters tackled the small fire near Arley Drive in Hough Green shortly after midnight.
Crews used one hose reel jet to extinguish the blaze.
Firefighters also dealt with a wheelie bin fire on Oakland Street at 11.30pm last night.
An investigation is underway to find out the cause of an outbuilding fire in Runcorn Firefighters tackled the fire on Parker Street shortly before 6pm last night.
Crews also dealt with a car fire on Philip Road, Widnes, at around 5am yesterday.
