Festive fun comes to Widnes town centre with a Christmas light switch-on
A CHRISTMAS lights switch on is being held in Widnes for the first time in many years.
It takes place on a specially constructed stage on Albert Road at 6pm on Friday.
Family fun with music, games and giveaways and the chance to meet Father Christmas starts at 3pm.
Fairground rides will be on Albert Road and Widnes Road on Friday and Saturday.
