THE 2017 Widnes Poppy Appeal has been launched.
Halton MP Derek Twigg and Alison Mowlem, Royal British Legion north west region community fundraiser, joined veterans from Widnes Royal British Legion Ball O Ditton branch at Tesco Extra for the event.
Sea, army and air cadets also attended.
Shoppers can buy poppies at the store on Lugsdale Road.
