FREE fun-filled events are being held at Halton’s libraries during half term.

Chester Zoo safari rangers workshops take place on Tuesday and will provide lots of fascinating biofacts.

A mini beasts workshop for children aged three to seven-years-old runs from 10am to 10.45am and a rainforest workshop for youngsters aged seven to 11 takes place from 11am to 11.45am.

Similar sessions will be held at Widnes Library in the afternoon, mini beasts workshop at 3pm and rainforest workshop at 4pm.

A family learning festival science fest takes place on Wednesday at both libraries from 10.30am to 12 noon.

Youngsters can see who can design and launch the fastest rocket balloon.

Anyone who fancies becoming an engineer can try to build the tallest tower using only five sheets of paper.

Youngsters can also have a go at using micro:bits and codebugs.

Games, crafts and quizzes will be on offer at Widnes Library on Thursday at 10.30am and at Halton Lea Library on Friday at 10.30am.
