A WIDNES store is celebrating after handling the 100 millionth parcel for the UK’s largest independent store delivery service.
Simply Food and Drinks on Moorfield Road was surprised to discover they had reached the milestone when they received the parcel from retailer Very.
Store manager Cathy Grist said: “We were thrilled to hear that CollectPlus’ 100 millionth parcel was delivered to our store.
“This announcement is particularly special to us as we introduced the CollectPlus click and collect and returns service over seven years ago now and it’s had a big impact on our shop, helping us serve our local community and grow our business.
The store joined the CollectPlus network in 2010 and has a customer satisfaction rating of 4.9 out of 5 stars.
Neil Ashworth, chief executive officer of CollectPlus, said: “Reaching the 100 millionth parcel is a landmark moment in CollectPlus’ history.
