Firefighters tackle bin and garden fires
A BIN was torched in Widnes last night.
Firefighters were called to Albert Square in the town centre shortly after 5.30pm.
Bins were well alight when crews arrived.
Firefighters used a hose reel jet to put out the fire which is believed to have been started deliberately.
Anyone with information should call Cheshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
Firefighters also tackled a garden fire that got out of control on Blyth Close, Murdishaw in Runcorn.
Crews used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire shortly after 8.30pm last night.
