THUGS brandishing a knife and a baseball bat robbed a man in a terrifying ordeal.

A 45-year-old man was walking along a path from Castlefields Avenue South in Runcorn to Pump Lane when he was approached by two men.

One of the men is described as white, aged between 18 and 25, around 6ft in height and of a medium build.

He was wearing a hooded top, possibly grey in colour and spoke with a Liverpool accent.

The second man is described as white, aged between 18-25 with dark hair and eyebrows and was clean shaven.

The baseball bat he was carrying had a metallic/silver sheen and was distinctively silver at the top of the bat.
