Volunteers are collecting food for Christmas hampers to distribute to needy families
A COFFEE morning is being held to make up Christmas hampers for needy families.
The event takes place at Trinity Church on Peelhouse Lane, Widnes from 10.30am to 12.30pm on Saturday, October 14.
Instead of an admission fee people are invited to bring a toy, tin of food or toiletries.
Trinity Kings Cross volunteers distributed 120 hampers to families last year and hope to do the same this year.
Almost 300 children benefitted from the festive gifts.
People are invited to donate any non perishable food and new toys.
