STALL holders demonstrated their culinary skills at the annual Widnes Market bake-off.
Traders served up a selection of cakes, pies, tarts and savoury snacks on Saturday.
All the home made treats were sold and raised £350 for the children’s cancer charity Clic Sargant, pushing the traders’ total figure so far this year to more than £4,000.
Halton’s mayor and mayoress Cllrs Alan and Joan Lowe were invited to judge the entries.
Pat Esp and her five-year-old grandson Oliver Banley were declared the winners.
Noah’s Ark came second and Middlehurst’s received third prize.
