A SHEEP which got stuck in Bridgewater Canal in Runcorn this afternoon has been rescued by three fire crews.
Firefighters from Runcorn, the animal rescue unit from Bollington and the rope rescue team from Lymm were called to the scene off Barnfield Avenue at around 3pm.
They launched a rescue raft onto the water to free the animal before bringing it back on land.
Firefighters were on the scene for an hour and the RSPCA also attended to check the animal for injuries.
