PREGNANT women and new mums who are experiencing mental health or emotional difficulties are invited to join a support group.
Halton-based NCT Parents in Mind is a free service and all trained peer support volunteers have experienced mental health difficulties during the early part of their parenting journeys.
The service is open to mums with a baby under 12 months or women who are pregnant.
Catherine Briars, service delivery manager, urged those in need of guidance and advice to get in touch as volunteers can offer 'a unique, well informed position on an informal and friendly basis'.
Recruitment is also now open for new peer supporters.
Training will take place from September 19 for 10 weeks.
Those who complete the course will achieve an accredited level two qualification.
