A SPONSORED sleepover is being held to make people aware of the help that is available for homeless young people in Halton.

The event takes place at St Paul’s Church on Victoria Square, Widnes, from 7.30pm next Friday until 8am next Saturday.

Widnes-based Nightstop Communities Northwest (NCNW) has provided a lifeline for the borough’s vulnerable youngsters for 10 years.

The not-for-profit organisation offers emergency accommodation and mental health support for young people aged 16 to 25.

Founder and chief executive officer Terri Kearney said: “We are inviting all agencies and organisations to come to promote their services and see our fabulously talented young people and groups performing at the event.”

A variety of entertainment will be held throughout the night, including music acts, a quiz, raffle and games.

Admission is free.

Refreshments will be available and breakfast will be provided.

People can camp outside for a donation of £10 for a four-man tent.

All proceeds will go towards NCNW’s emergency accommodation and support services.

Sponsorship forms are available at the Nightstop office on Albert Road. Call 0151 345 6572 or e-mail sian@ncnw.co.uk.
