THIS picture of the Mersey Gateway was captured by Ros McHugh, of Heath Road, Widnes.
She said: “This photograph was taken at high tide of the building of the new bridge from the banks of the Mersey at Spike Island.”
People can get a bird’s eye view of the construction site from a visitor’s centre in the rooftop observation gallery at Catalyst Discovery Centre in West Bank.
The six lane tolled crossing is due to open in the autumn.
