RUNCORN residents are mucking in to spruce up the town centre’s community garden.
Hazlehurst Craft Studios, who look after the garden on High Street, Runcorn, as part of the Old Town Bloom community garden and action project, have started running weekly gardening sessions on Fridays from 10am to noon.
From general tidying, painting and planting, to creating artwork to decorate the garden with, the group keeps the garden looking pristine.
Volunteers are invited to come and join them each week.
No skills or garden knowledge are required.
The group have also signed up to be part of ‘North West in Bloom’ in the ‘it’s your neighbourhood’ category and are being judged on June 28.
