THE team at Notcutts Rivendell decided to dig deep with a flower donation to support national charity Carers Trust.

The garden centre donated potted flowers, hanging baskets, bulbs, pots and compost to create an area for carers, their loved ones and staff to enjoy when they visit the centre.

Centre manager David Quigley visited Halton Carers Centre to meet the team and see the outdoor area during Carers Week.

The annual campaign recognises the contribution of carers and the challenges they face, as well as helps to build communities which support carers and their loves ones.

Mr Quigley said: “The carers centre in Halton does fantastic work in our community and we were delighted to support it.

"We hope it will benefit from the spruced-up outdoor space.”

Halton Carers Centre is part of a network of 150 Carers Trust centres across the UK, working to reach carers and develop specialist and tailored services to support them.

It is hoped the revived space will encourage visitors and staff to reap the benefits of spending time outdoors, as well as getting involved in gardening activities.
