FIREFIGHTERS rescued a dog during a house fire on The Uplands in Runcorn.
Crews from Runcorn and Widnes fire stations arrived on the scene at around 12.55pm yesterday and found that a pan had been left unattended on the stove.
Firefighters put on breathing equipment and used a hose reel jet to fight the flames.
A large fan was used to clear smoke from the property.
No-one was reported hurt and Missy the dog was rescued from the house.
