THIS picture of West Bank Promenade was captured by David Owens, from Parklands, Hough Green.
He said: “I took this picture in the sun on Sunday, August 14.”
The promenade overlooking the Mersey estuary was popular with the Victorians before the Transporter Bridge opened in 1905.
It is now part of the Trans Pennine Trail and attracts many cyclists, walkers and visitors.
